Not only will you be eating fresh, locally produced vegetables, you will also be supporting local socially disadvantaged farmers.
The Flats Mentor Farm weekly CSA share contains enough ethnic vegetables for a family of 4.
So, join the movement and purchase a share today! Sign up by March 30th and save $25! Would you like your share delivered to your work location on a weekly basis? Share this information with your co-workers and if 10 or more shares are purchased, FMF staff will deliver your share each week to your work location.
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The basic premise is that a “community” commits to supporting a farmer by purchasing his products over a whole season, and in turn, the farmer commits to providing the community with products grown to the best of his ability. Usually the members pay a set fee upfront and then receive a weekly share of the harvest. By agreeing to share in the harvest, members are willing to share in both the risks and benefits of farming and understand that due to weather and other conditions the amounts and variety of harvest will vary from week to week.
How do I get my CSA?
